WASHINGTON – President Obama officially nominated his chief-of-staff, Jack Lew, to head the Department of the Treasury, taking over from outgoing Secretary Tim Geithner, who served the president in that capacity for the last four years.

Does Lew have what it takes to take over what will certainly the arduous tasks of budget negotiations and deficit cutting?

Host Carmen Russell-Sluchansky spoke with Duke University finance professor Campbell Harvey to discuss Lew’s qualification for the position and Geithner’s legacy.
