WASHINGTON – President Obama said he and Speaker of the House John Boehner are close to finding a deal, but while Obama agreed to push the threshold for a tax rate hike to $400,000 per year, Boehner stopped at $1 million.

Host Carmen Russell-Sluchansky spoke with Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research, to discuss the economic impact of the proposals.
