WASHINGTON – Officials from the P5+1 group met with Iranian leaders on Tuesday in Kazakhstan where they sought to hammer out a deal to limit Iran’s nuclear ambitions while easing sanctions that have crippled the Persian country’s economy.

EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said in a statement that the group of countries, which includes United States, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany, hopes to “see progress by the end of the meeting,” according to AFP.

Host Kim Brown spoke with Minaret of Freedom Institute President Dr. Imad-ad-Dean Ahmad and Voice of Russia political commentator Dmitry Babich to discuss the negotiations and the sanctions.
