There is tension on the border between Egypt and Israeli border after masked gunmen killed 16 Egyptian soldiers at a checkpoint along the border with Gaza and Israel and smashed across the border in stolen vehicles.
One vehicle apparently blew up at the Kerem Shalom crossing, while the other was destroyed by the Israeli air force.
