WASHINGTON – The United States and China have enjoyed stable and mutually beneficial relations for the past 20 years, but tougher stances by the presidential candidates could change that relationship.

President Barack Obama brought two complaints against China at the World Trade Organization on Monday and GOP nominee Mitt Romney has been campaigning on a commitment to act stronger against China.

To learn more about how the candidates are impacting China-U.S. relations and more, Voice of Russia correspondent Stephen Schaber spoke with Dr. Sam Zhao, director of the Center for China-U.S. Cooperation at the University of Denver.
